I am always fighting with my brother and he torments me constantly. I feel that my dad does not care about me and is always siding with my brother. I can't stand to stay in a house where I do not feel wanted. My parents do not see anything through my eyes and are whenever I try to talk to them they just tell me they don't want to get involved. To add to my problems, I feel like I don't belong in my school. I don't seem to fit in and can't stand it any longer.

Re: Problems with Dad and brother
Hello,
Thank you for reaching out to National Runaway Switchboard for support. It sounds like a very stressful time to be at home right now. We can tell how much this issue is weighing on you. How do you cope with so much tension constantly? How do you relieve the frustration of dealing with your brother constantly? We imagine this is not an easy time for you. We empathize with your situation since you seem to lack the necessary support at home right now.
We are always here for you as a place to call if you were interested in speaking to someone over the phone. It sounds like you can use an outsider perspective to shed some light on the situation. There may still be the option to use people at home or in the community to enhance your understanding of how to manage the stress. Have you thought about contacting a counselor or someone at school to help you out? What might need to change to feel like you belong at school and to reach out to teachers or school counselors for support?
We are a 24 hour a day hotline. We are confidential and anonymous. We are not in the position to tell you what to do but we wish to hear from you directly. We can offer tools, steps or methods that you can use to make your situation better. We can never guarantee the outcome but we are here to provide services over the phone, whether to call home to speak with your parents or to conduct a conference call to see what sort of compromise can be made. You deserve to feel safe and happy in your own home. We only hope to aid you in navigating this tough situation. We look forward to hearing from you soon. Good luck.
