I dont know if what I can tell u will be of any help to u but I do know no one is a mistake! we are all put on this earth for a reson even if we dont know y. if u give in and kill ur self who will so smile and show them that they cant break u and that u are a survior people will aways try but u have to remember that u are someone special and one day u will c that so try to be strong and when they say stuff go yep i am and proud of it i bet thell leave u alone good luck and keep looking to the future

Thank you so much for writing us here at the National Runaway Switchboard. What you are going through right now sounds like it is very difficult. Having no one in your house you feel like you can talk to seems very frustrating. Have you ever talked to anyone about what is going on at home? There may be a counselor or teacher at school that may be able to help you sort out your feelings and figure how to cope with all of this. We can also provide you with counseling in your area if that is something you are interested in.
It must hurt a lot to have someone call you names and have your mom favor them over you. You said though that your mom’s ex-boyfriend is still someone that cares for you? Do you ever tell him how they are treating you and how it is making you feel? Is he also into the plan of gaining custody over you? If he is, there are legal aid numbers we can most likely provide for you when or if you can call us.
How are you able to cope with all of this now? Do you have hobbies that you enjoy to take your mind off of things? Sometimes hobbies like sports, music, cooking etc… help a great deal to make yourself feel more relieved.
If you are thinking about suicide you can always call the National Suicide Hotline at 1-800-273-TALK. What do you think that it would be like for your family if you killed yourself? For the people who care about you like your mom’s ex? Suicide has an effect on everyone in your life. When you try to see what your future would be like what is it that you see? These are just some things to think about.

Hi, well im only 14 and i act more of an adult than my mom and dad. all in all is that my mom was diagnosed with bipolar skitzafrenia. So her emotions are hectic. Also, my dad wants no part in my life.

so since the age of ten ive been trying to get my dad into signing all parental rights over to my mom and then having her ex boyfriend adopt me.(he is more of a dad that i ever had) so far its not working out. and my mom is currently engaged to this guy she knew in the navy. he is a jerk. so is his son. My mom favors him and his son over me. (as example:his son will call me a stupid (inapropriate) word; so when i respond by saying please leave me alone or something my mom flips out on me.) both my parents have told me im a mistake. and im absolutely done.

ive thaught about suicide many of times and i just cant get it out of my head.
also, my mom moved me away from all of my friends and the only person i have ever known as a dad across the united states. and im really homesick. and i dont belong here. many people have made me relize that and make sure i realize it.

please help me before i do something stupid.
