I don't like my mother. She is having an extra-marital affair and doesn't value her family as much as she values people on her social apps. Now she lives with me in a different city due to my studies and meets my father occasionally. She just talks to my father for money and her health check-up purpose. She always shouts at us about small things. It's been 15 years since I am living like this. Sometimes it feels so suffocating.

Hi,
We are glad you reached out to us for some help. It makes sense that you feel suffocated when you are pushed to the side and shouted at over small things. It sounds very stressful that you are seeing your Mom engage in behaviors that are so marginalizing to you and your Dad.
We imagine that you are feeling isolated, hopeless and trapped. From what you described, these issues with your Mom have been going on for a long time. That kind of chronic negative interaction with your Mom is likely taking a toll on your emotional well being and possibly negatively affecting your other experiences (like at school or time with your friends).
There are some options for you to get the help you deserve to deal with your Mom’s issues and the effects on you. In order to find the right program for you in your local area, we need to get some more specifics on your situation. You can reach out to us any time 24/7 for a chat through our website www.1800RUNAWAY.ORG or on our crisis hotline at (800) RUNAWAY. Both are completely confidential.
We hope to hear from you soon.
