  • Why do I cry over my mom but nothing else?

I can only cry over one thing and thats my mom.
My boyfriend broke up with me and I was completly fine.
I get bullied and I'm fine.
My grandma died and I didn't cry.
but the second my mom confronts me abt somehting its tears for hours and hours on end.
And she is worried and Im not gonna lie i hate her because i told her i was scared of her and she made it seem like that was my fault.
she doesn't understand anything abt me and expects me to think she knows everything when she doesn't

but then also i look back to this on e video of me when i was like 4 and i said "hiya mommy how u doing mommy?" and we had this whoel rly cute convo and i was so happy and today my mom asked me to think of when i was that happiest and i lied and said during one of my shows but in reality it was back when i was 4. i honestly just wish things could be like that agian.
anyways why can't i cry over normal stuff?

Thank you for reaching out to the National Runaway Safeline. It certainly seems like you are going through a lot emotionally right now which seems very confusing to you. Thinking you are afraid of a parent can really be upsetting, especially with the other losses and bullying you’re dealing with.

It’s really hard to try to assist you without hearing more about what’s going on. The NRS has a database of resources that might be of help to you like counseling services or family therapy, but speaking to you would be really helpful. By getting more information from we can look into things that are located close to where you live and may be more appropriate based upon your age as well. If you could reach out to us either via our chat line (www.1800runaway.org) or via our phone line (1-800-786-2929) it would be great. There is someone to chat or speak to 24/7 so feel free to reach out when it’s good for you.

Again, thank you for reaching out to the National Runaway Safeline. We look forward to speaking to you and hopefully getting you in a better place.

    Sincerely,

    National Runaway Safeline
Please remember you can reach us directly by calling our 24 hour hotline, 1-800-RUNAWAY (786-2929) or through our Live Chat.
