  • i cant take it anymore

i cant take being a disappointment anymore
everyday i lie to my parents about getting homework done so they don’t yell at me
i have wanted to do this for a long time and the only thing stopping me is my boyfriend who probably wouldn’t even miss me
im a disappointment to everyone i know and i can’t do anything to help them or myself. i always make peoples lives worse by being with them
people wouldn’t really miss me so i figure, why shouldn’t i do this? nobody would care if i was dead in a ditch or missing.

Thank you for reaching out to the National Runaway Safeline. It certainly appears that you are going through a lot right now. Please know that no matter how bad things might seem, there are a lot of people in your life who do love you and would miss you greatly should decide to ‘go away.’ Just by reaching out to NRS you have shown that you want help in bettering the situation you are currently in, and you should know that you have taken the first step toward getting assistance.

Here at NRS we have a database of resources that may be appropriate for what you’re going through. One is Suicide Hotline at 1-800-273-8255. Should you ever find yourself thinking of suicide, please contact the hotline immediately so that you can speak to someone directly. We also have available resources for therapists, alternative living (TLPs) and shelters that we could look at if you are willing to provide the city and zip code where you are living.

Should you have the opportunity it would be wonderful if you could reach out to NRS, either at www.1800runaway.orgfor chat capabilities or at 1-800-786-2929 to speak to someone personally. Speaking with you and getting a bit more information about what you’re going through and your current living situation will allow us to look at our resources and see if there might be anything else we could recommend to make life easier at home.

Thank you again for reaching out to the National Runaway Safeline. Remember, you have taken the first step in asking for help which you should be proud of! Hopefully we will hear from you soon.

    Sincerely,

    National Runaway Safeline
Please remember you can reach us directly by calling our 24 hour hotline, 1-800-RUNAWAY (786-2929) or through our Live Chat.
