I'm 14, I feel boxed in and want to run away

I have no idea what to do. I have a bad relationship with my sister who now stays with my mother since I can't stay with her. I'm currently living with my dad who made a clear he does not care about me or want me and makes his life financially harder. And because of that I constantly don't feel welcomed and can't move to stay with my mom because of my sister being there. I have no money, and possibly someone I can stay with but I'm aware of the consequences of harboring a runaway. What should I do.

Thank you for reaching out to us, it sounds like this situation can be pretty frustrating. We hope to help as best we can. If your dad seems to prefer you stay somewhere else, it may be worth having a conversation with him about being given permission to live elsewhere and you would then not be considered a runaway. This may be a difficult conversation to have, we can help with roleplaying that conversation with you and/or having a conference call with your dad and you about it.
If you choose to leave home without having a conversation and your dad decides to file a runaway report, then yes, who you stay with could have consequences. Depending on your area and how old you are police can treat runaways differently depending the situation and their local policies. One way to find out the laws in your area is to call your local police and ask what their policies are regarding runaway youth.
