My sister is twenty years old and has three kids that live with my mom. She has been living in the streets for a while now . It all started when she ran away for a few days then weeks then months. Now she is with an older man that beats her and she has nowhere to go, my mom lost her house because she had to pay all the bills and take care of 5 kids. If anyone can help her get to me in Missouri we would all appreciate it!!!! She's in California by the way

Thank you for reaching out to us at the National Runaway Switchbaord. Good to see that you are helping your sister to make sure that she is safe and away from harmful people. It's got to be tough for her. She's lucky to have someone like you to help her get a way back home.

Depending on where your sister is in California, there are some agencies that might be able to provide some funds for her to come home. That service (transportation) is difficult to come across so this will not be easy but you might be able to find some help.

If you know the city your sister is in, You can go to a search engine online and look for Catholic Charities and Salvation Army in her area. Google dot com would be good for that. And another thing you can do is have your sister call in to out hotline and we can help her find more resources if those don't work.
