I have been waiting all week to go to my mom's house to see my grandparents and mom because they're nice to me. I have been begging both of them all week but they said wait til' the weekend, it is the weekend and my dad won't take me after promising that he would. Instead of taking me, he hit me with a belt saying I did something wrong even though I did nothing. I started crying because I already had many cuts from falling off my scooter, but then my stepmom came down and hit me with a belt? They won't even let me call my mom and ask her to pick me up. Yesterday they made me forcefully eat something I didn't like even though I was very full and didn't want to eat it, my stepmom sat there with a belt hitting it against the table saying "HURRY UP!" even though I was eating as much as I could at one time, I almost choked on the food. Can someone please help my mom get custody of me and all my siblings? I really hate my dad and stepmom.

Hi there,
Thank you for taking the time to write us here at NRS and we appreciate you sharing your situation with us. It sounds like you are faced with a lot at home and it has become overwhelming. You mentioned being harmed by both your dad and step mom. You do not deserve to be hurt in any way especially by a parent who is supposed to keep you safe. It must feel incredibly unfair and frustrating you are not able to see your mom and grandparents as much as you would like since they make you feel cared for and loved.
Since you mentioned being harmed, you do have the option to report any mistreatment to child protective services. Child Help USA 1-800-422-4453 www.childhelp.org is an organization that helps protect minors from being harmed. They can tell you more about how CPS could respond to your situation. If you ever need assistance calling out to CPS to make an abuse or neglect report please call is at 1-800-RUNAWAY.
Often, having a safe space to share how you’re feeling may bring a variety of solutions previously not thought of. You are not alone in this. We want you to know that we are here as support to help you through this challenging time.
If you would like to talk more in detail please chat soon through our website www.1800runaway.org (click on the chat button) if you are unable to call in. We unfortunately cannot give advice as we are non-directive. You know your situation best
We hope to hear from you soon.
