    Hello There,
Thank you for reaching out to The National Runaway Safeline, we are here to help and here to listen.
We are a crisis hotline that typically helps youth ages 12-21, and we are based in The United States. If you were to be living in the United States it is possible we would be able to help you more, because we can provide you more resources.
Please reach out to us by chat or by calling our hotline at 1800-789-2626, to get more information on what we can help you with. We are available 24/7 by phone or by chat. Best of luck!
    NRS

    Hi there,

Thank you for reaching out to us at the National Runaway Safeline. It sounds like you are in a difficult situation, and we understand it takes courage to reach out for help. It seems your family has always been very strict and now that you are older and wanting to be independent, it has become that much more overwhelming. It is understandable to want to leave and make sure you do not have to contact your family again especially since it sounds like living with them has taken a significant toll on your mental health. There could be resources in your area that can help you with things like housing, finding a job, continuing your education, and basic necessities.

The National Runaway Safeline is located in the United States of America (USA). Our knowledge of helpful community based resources and our understanding of youth in crisis related laws is limited to the USA. If you are located in a country outside of the USA, you can use this link to find a youth helpline in or around your country: https://www.childhelplineinternation...pline-network/. You mentioned that you might currently be in the United Kingdom. Here is a crisis line that might be able to help you find resources for where you are living currently: https://www.childline.org.uk/

We hope that by reaching out to a local resource, you are able to get the support you need from an organization that understands the laws and circumstances that affect youth in your country.

    Be safe and good luck,
    NRS
