So im 19 years old. I thought my mother loved me no she hates me for no reason she told me i should end my life. I clean the house whenever she cooks and as i was ignoring her she still kept starting things for no reason im on the phone with my friends she disrespect me she call me ugly bi*** and she is trying to make me lose my job which i wont let happen. I didnt do anything to her to deserve any of this. She tells me shes tired of me i should move out she dont disrespect my brother like that hes the 2nd child im the oldest she dont disrespect others like that. She tells me all these things that im ugly,im not going to be anything in life and that i should sleep on the street. When ever she needed money i gave it to her when she was homeless she used me for money and to babysit her son. I have no where else to go and she treats me badly over her house being dirty when i clean it and there are times when im too tired from work to clean. I didnt get payed yet i just started working. I plan to leave in 3 months but she wants to kick me out now and shes crazy.

Thank you for writing to us here at National Runaway Safeline (NRS). We understand it takes great courage to reach out, and we appreciate you sharing a little bit about what’s going on. If you’re feeling unsafe and need a safe place to go and talk to someone, you may wish to visit The National Safeplace website (www.nationalsafeplace.org). This organization provides access to immediate help and supportive resources for youth in need. You can look up your city and state to see if there are any safe places near you listed. So that is always an option if you feel like talking to someone in person about what has been going on or if you just need of a safe place to stay. You can also use their TXT 4 HELP free service offered to all youth in crisis. It’s quick, easy, safe, and confidential:
· Text the word “safe” and your current location (address, city, state) to 4HELP (44357).
· Within seconds, you will receive a message with the closest Safe Place site and phone number for the local youth agency.
· For immediate help, reply with “2chat” to text interactively with a trained counselor.
Another option is to reach out to us via chat or phone and we can help you look up shelters or transitional housing programs for you. If you would like to talk more in detail please call or chat soon. Our contact information is 1-800-RUNAWAY (786-2929); www.1800runaway.org (click on the chat button).
