cant look parents in the eyes

i got in last night and found my parents in my room. they had gone on my computer and found some "pictures" of me that i posted on a craglist post. they yelled at me and told me how mad they are and that they cant look at me the same now. im 19, im not under age. they told me about the storys on dateline and how people arent who they say they are. i know this and told them it was only because i was bord. i wasnt going to do anything. they told me haw dissapponited they are. i know how my mom is and she is probly going to say something to a friend at work. my dad cant even look at me. i wish i had lock my computer. im worried what people will think of me. i cant look at me paernts the same. i dont know what to do. i just want to go away, far away. ive thought of ending my life, i dont know. theres just so much going on in my head i just want to get away from it all.

Thanks so much for writing in. It sounds like you had a rough night and are having a hard time dealing with something that happened. You mentioned that your parents found some pictures on your computer and they were very upset and you’re having a hard time dealing with their reaction.
Have you spoken with your parents at all about what happened last night? Do you think they just need some time to cool down before you can discuss the situation? How is your relationship usually like with your mom and dad? Do you feel if may be helpful to talk with them separately about what happened? Have you spoken with anyone else about the situation? Did anyone else know about the pictures that were posted online?
It’s understandable that you are incredibly upset about the situation. It’s never easy to feel like someone is disappointed in you or feel like you have done something wrong. You also mentioned in your post that you have had thoughts of ending your life. How long have you been feeling this way? Have you ever felt suicidal before or had thoughts of ending your life? Have you spoken with anyone about feeling this way?
