I want to run away but I'm scared. I just turned 17 yesterday & if I do run away this would be my 3rd time. I know my parents can call the police & so the report but what can they do to my boyfriend? Last time I run away they found me with him & my mom keeps telling me that if I do it again that he's going to jail. Can she actually do something to him like that ?

It sounds like you’re going through a difficult time with your parents.

We are not legal experts here; however, if your boyfriend is legally an adult, (the age that one is considered an adult varies from state to state) then he can be charged with harboring a runaway, which, to our knowledge, is a misdemeanor.
If he is a minor, then your parents can pursue charges against his parents.
