  • Can I stay with my brother without consent if he is 18+?

My mom is not a great person and I can't stay with my father. I'm 17 and he is 20 years old. Do I need a signature or something from both parents?

    Hello,

Thanks for contacting us. It seems that you want to stay with your older brother but are unsure if you need permission. We actually are not legal experts here so we can't say for sure what is needed in order for you to move out. In general if you are under the age of 18 you would usually need consent from your parents to live somewhere else. You could possibly check with the local non emergency police where you live or seek out a legal information resource for further assistance.

    Best of luck to you,
    NRS
