It sounds like you have left your parents home, and now thinking about leaving your grandparents. You shared that you work 6 days a week and are in school. That’s a lot to balance at the same time, it’s impressive that you’ve been able to do this. We’re glad to hear that your boyfriend and his parents have been supportive of you, it’s good to have support through difficult situations.

We’re not legal experts, but generally speaking if you leave without permission from legal guardians before the age of 18, they would have the right to make a runaway report. If a report is made, and the police find you they typically would just bring you back home. If you are 18 or older, legal guardians are not typically able to make runaway reports unless they have extended guardianship. If this is not the case at home, then you may be able to determine where you live. In some cases, this can be more difficult than others if you are in any way still dependent on your legal guardians for financial assistance, health care assistance, etc.

My whole life I've always wanted to leave I left my parents house at 14 to live with my grandparents thinking it would be better but it's wrost everything I do is never going be good enough they hate my boyfriend and his parents and all they been to them was nice. My grandmother is always yelling me at for something every time I'm at home. I'm a senior in high school I wanted to wait till I got out of school to leave but I can't handle it no more I can't handle the mental abuse anymore. I work 6 days a week and a student I'm so stressed thinking about life but I need to move out for myself I'm just scared about the real world if Ima make it out there by myself but it's something I need to do for myself.
