    Hello,
Thank you for contacting us at NRS with this difficult problem that you’re having. It sounds like a very tough situation that you’re in at home with your mom and your aunt. We’re so sorry to hear that you are dealing with such bad treatment by your aunt. If you are being abused, you are within your rights to report the abuse to the police, who may be able to help you out of the situation where you are being hurt by your aunt. If you call us at 1-800-RUNAWAY, we could help you to report any abuse.

It sounds like your mom is trying very hard to keep you fed and sheltered with her limited money. That has to be very difficult for both her and for you. If you are against going to Ghana to a church camp, maybe you could have a conversation with your mom about why you don’t want to go and how you feel. Maybe you both can come up with another solution together.

If you call us at 1-800-RUNAWAY or chat with us through our website, we may be able to help further, because we could get more details about your situation and try to get you the proper help that you need.

    Best of Luck,
    NRS
Please remember you can reach us directly by calling our 24 hour hotline, 1-800-RUNAWAY (786-2929) or through our Live Chat.
