So right now I'm at my grandma's house for the dinner and overjoyed to be here. I dislike being at home due to my controlling and overbearing father who thinks he can physically and mentally abuse me and my four siblings over the course of our whole lives. He has beat us with belts until bruises appear and mentally tried to control us. My mother used to stand up for us now she doesn't and runs away from the problem. I'm 16 and my youngest brother is 3 and I hate seeing him go through this. My dad is picking us up tomorrow to take us back home but I don't want any of us to leave. My grandmother called CPS but we have to wait for results and since my mother is on the military, they have also intervened. I need to know if I can legally keep me and my siblings here until we get a court date because I don't want to go home or have my siblings go home either. Here funds joy from whipping us and makes us exercise for punishment until we have muscle failure and many more creative punishments for dumb things. It's been going on since I was did and im sick of this for so many years.

Re: I've had enough of this
Hi there,
Thank you for writing to us here at National Runaway Safeline (NRS). We understand it takes great courage to reach out, and we appreciate you sharing a little bit about what’s going on. It sounds like you’re quite overwhelmed by things at home right now and history of abuse has made it even more difficult to want to stay with your parent/guardian. You mentioned being harmed. We’re sorry you’re going through this. You don't deserve to be hurt in any way. If you are at risk of any danger or feeling unsafe, we encourage you to reach out to 911 or seek emergency assistance immediately. You may also be able to report any mistreatment to CPS. Child Help USA 1-800-422-4453 www.childhelp.org is an organization that helps protect minors from being harmed. It may also be a good place to explore options for staying with another family member or someone you trust as far as transferring custody.
Often, having a safe space to share how you’re feeling may bring a variety of solutions previously not thought of. You are not alone in this. We want you to know that we are here as support to help you through this challenging time.
If you would like to talk more in detail please chat soon through our website www.1800runaway.org (click on the chat button) if you are unable to call in. We unfortunately cannot give advice as we are non-directive. You know your situation best
