Hey there,
Thanks for reaching out and sharing a little bit about what's going on, we know that it takes a lot of courage to do so. It sounds like you are in a sticky situation since your mom, dad, and grandparents are all looking for/possibly share custody. It may be beneficial to speak with a local legal aid group (they often work on a sliding scale or for free) about the rights that you and your mom have regarding her custody over you. If you'd like, you can find a legal aid group near you by going to https://www.lawhelp.org/find-help/.
If you’d like to go over what’s going on in depth, or if you’d like to explore other options that you may have available to you, please don’t hesitate to call us at 1-800-RUNAWAY. You can also chat us by clicking on the “CHAT” button on top of our homepage. We’re open 24/7 and here to listen and support you in any way we can.
Stay safe,
NRS

I left the state i live for a few weeks in summer to see my family. i told my dad i only wanted to stay here for a few weeks and he said ok. now that i’m here my dad and grandma are trying to force me to live here. i would rather go absolutely anything then that. my grandma says that i have no right or say on where i get to live, then i said that my mom does.( her and my mom don’t like each other) then she says “your mom has no rights she ********ed up a long time ago” which she didn’t. im only 15 and all i want is to go home. i never wanted to be in this position, i knew i shouldn’t have came here. so do i even have a right to chose where i live? does my mom?Tags: None
