not allowed a phone i have to use the computer for educational purposes only but i’m sick of it
never once been outside with my friends nor to a single birthday party
was not allowed to get a job or listen to music my parents try to force me to wear hijab inside the house and when my grades come back not too good they threaten to marry me off. my parents are both verbally abusive and my arsehole dad throws punches whenever he feels like. he kicked the ******** out of me when i forgot to forward him an email once, in front of our relatives. he’s belted me, beat me with a stick and so much other ********ed up ********. i’ve considered suicide so many damn times.

i’m sick of it i just want to live a normal life for gods sake.

We're glad you reached out to us. We'll try to help. It is unfortunate that you have to live in such an environment. You deserve to live a good life, with friends, and able to go out and listen to music and get a job and have a phone. You don't deserve to be abused verbally and physically. Here at NRS, we truly want to be a support for you during this difficult time. Please call or chat us if you would like to talk through your situation, we are always here for you.

You might want to call Child Help at 1800-422-4453 or contact them at www.childhelp.org to report the abuse. Also, you might reach out to the suicide hotline if you ever want to talk to someone about your suicidal thoughts: 1800-273-8255. Their website is www.suicidepreventionlifeline.org. Nothing is more important than your safety, and it is significant that you are feeling that way.

We realize that you are not allowed a phone so you might want to reach them online. We also have a chat line where you can talk to one of us live. You can find it on our website www.1800runaway.org. If you can call us, our number is 1-800-RUNAWAY. We are here 24/7 and are confidential.

    Good luck.

    -NRS
Please remember you can reach us directly by calling our 24 hour hotline, 1-800-RUNAWAY (786-2929) or through our Live Chat.
