Talking to my parents

Hey I'm 16 living in a boarding school a state away from my parents, they're in Washington I'm in Oregon. at this school I have obtained my HSD and am getting culinary vocational training. in July I'll be going on camp crew with my center where I'll be cooking for fire fighters and making anywhere from 2k-7k. When I graduate in September (my birthday)I'll be 17. I have a boyfriend we've been together for a year and a half and been best friends for three years. He recently got his GED and is going to do a tattoo apprenticeship, when I graduate I want to attend hair school, James and I will both be working full time while we do our higher education, we will be living with his family while we save every dime we make so in three years when we finish our schooling we will have enough money for a mini house (our dream house is 85k) so we will be living debt free while we work and pay bills and support ourselves. But we have one problem, my parents. My stepmom is against me moving in with James because she doesn't want me to de financially dependent on him or his family while I work on my schooling. My dad is extremely protective of me and sees me as his little girl and doesn't want me to move out (especially with a boy) but I know if I go home I wont have a chance to work or pursue a higher education. my life will be sitting in my house 24/7 while my parents work and while I watch the animals. I would have little to no outside contact and I wouldn't be able to progress in life. I want to talk to my parents about it because we haven't officially had the talk about it but I don't know what to say or how to say it. I need them to give be written consent soon or I wont be able to submit the paperwork to my boarding school in time for them to process it before my graduation. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thank you!
