Hello,
Thanks for contacting the National Runaway Safeline.
We are sorry to hear you are going through a difficult time at home.
Not having the support of family or be able to confide in family sounds like it has placed you under a lot of stress and vulnerability. We understand that because of their feelings about your sexuality it has made it quite uncomfortable for you to be home.
You reaching out for help is a great step towards dealing with everything.
Good for you.
It sounds like you might be thinking of leaving but have nowhere to go.
Call NRS at 1-800-Runaway (786-2929) or visit www.1800Runaway.org for information on possible emergency youth shelters and other services in your area.
We are here to listen and explore options for help.
Sometimes talking things through might help to get some perspective on the situation and coming up with a plan of action.
Does that make sense?
It’s important to take care of yourself and it seems you are trying to do just that.
Good job.
If you would like more support services you can reach out to: GLBT National Hotline: 1-888-843-4564
We hope that being able to express yourself makes you feel better.
Take Care,
NRSPlease remember you can reach us directly by calling our 24 hour hotline, 1-800-RUNAWAY (786-2929) or through our Live Chat.
