    Re: Parents

Thank you for contacting the National Runaway Safeline

We would like to start off by saying thank you for being brave enough to share your story and to let you know that abuse of any kind, by anyone is not okay.

It sounds like you are having a really tough time living at home with abuse from your dad. We are sorry to hear that the police did not provide you with the proper support that you needed. Unfortunately we are not legal experts nor do we have ties with law enforcement so we cannot say definitively what will happen to you or your dad.

We can provide you with referrals and provide you with support through this difficult time. You are welcome to call our 24 hour 1-800-Runaway (786-2929) crisis line and talk to one of our liners about your situation further and go over some options.
We hope you remain safe and good luck

    Parents

Hi, my parents and my sister always fight with each other, and they can get abusive. I have seen my sister (1 have her hair pulled and slapped. My dad also gets abusive with my mom and my sister. Sometimes not always. And I have called the cops once, butt my dad said nothing happened and he was just fooling around. I was slapped after they left. I have recorded my sister being slapped and my mom being hurt emotionally and physically but physically rarely happens. And I'm wondering if I call the cops on my dad. Will I be taken away from my family or just my dad will be taken away? Is there any way I can contact someone by email? Because I would rather like it like that.
