Re: So Tired
Hello,
We’re glad you found our forums and were comfortable sharing your situation. It sounds like you’re dealing with mixed messages from your mom which we imagine is frustrating. We aren’t legal experts, but our understanding is that most law enforcement and/or child protective services will tell a parent/guardian they cannot legally kick out a minor child without giving them an alternative option. That might be a reason your mom filed you as a runaway to protect herself as your parent/guardian.
It sounds like you felt happiest while on the run and are seriously considering running away tomorrow. You mentioned you've been to jail more times than you can count so it seems like there is a history of not being happy at home for which we're sorry. You deserve to feel happy and safe at home. We aren’t here to make the decision for you, but please know we care about your safety. We’re also available if you’d like to continue talking about your situation and possible options. Best of luck! Please remember you can reach us directly by calling our 24 hour hotline, 1-800-RUNAWAY (786-2929) or through our Live Chat.
