Hey. My 16 year old friend has been kicked out by his extremely narcissistic mother. I just feel so bad for him. His mother is barely ever home (probably out drinking with her friends), getting him to pay for most of his things (such as food and classes), which causes him to have to work everyday, coming home at almost 1 in the morning. When his mom kicked him out he asked if he could stay with me. We both live in different provinces. He lives in Ontario and I live in Alberta. I told him he could. He called his mom, telling her that he was going on a plane and flying over to my place and she gave him permission to do so. I'm just wondering if my parents will get in trouble with the law or anything...

Hi there,
Thank you for reaching out to us at the National Runaway Safeline. It sounds like you are in a difficult situation, and we understand it takes courage to reach out for help. The National Runaway Safeline is located in the United States of America (USA). Our knowledge of helpful community based resources and our understanding of youth in crisis related laws is limited to the USA. If you are located in a country outside of the USA, you can use this link to find a youth helpline in or around your country: http://www.childhelplineinternationa...where-we-work/
We hope that by reaching out to a local resource, you are able to get the support you need from an organization that understands the laws and circumstances that affect youth in your country.
Best, NRS
