  • I want to leave but where?

I have been sick for a whole month and been out of school the work load has been piling up and my mom was putting a lot of pressure on me to get it done. If was getting to be a lot. I started going back to school but I was really behind, a lot of my teachers asked if I had started any of my work I hadn't, I had been sleeping more than 5 hours during the day. The other day I came to my mom to help she tried to help me but I was so overwhelmed I started to uncontrollably cry. I think I was having a panic attack or something, I had just done the math and I had 10 hours plus of missing homework. The more I cried the more she yelled at me and told me I was weak. It was scary to see her change so quickly. She yelled at my and told me to leave. And that it was al my fault. I went to bed and stayed home sick from school. This afternoon the same thing happened, but it was more intense. I want to run away but I dont know where my only true friend currently hates me and it doesn't look like she will ever not. I now that sounds dramatic, and cliche for a teenage but she was the only one I talked to in hard times. I dont know where to go or what to do please help.

RE: I want to leave but where?

    RE: Hi there!
Thanks for reaching out to us here at NRS. It definitely sounds like you have a lot going on. Between the homework and fighting with your mom and your friend, it must be stressful, but it sounds like you are doing your best to try and make it work.
With everything going on things must be really stressed between you and your mom. Have you tried just sitting down with your mom and talking about how you feel? It sounds like you are both just very overwhelmed right now and talking might help. If you don’t feel comfortable talking to her alone maybe a close family member or friend could be there as well to comfort you. As for the homework, it must be really stressful to have that much to try and come back from. Maybe ask a teacher or classmate for some extra help. After being gone for so long they should be willing to try and catch you back up.
We hope this helps a little. Life can get stressful and sometimes we feel like there is no way out, but you just have to keep going.
