  • I want to run away

I am studying Engineering at Bits pilani but I don't want to become an engineer nor I want to study here.
I am afraid to tell my parents this as they have spent a lot here.
That's why I want to run away

Thanks for reaching out to us here at NRS. We appreciate the fact that you have chosen to reach out to us and ask for help. We can understand that you are going through a stressful and difficult situation. Our hope is to provide you with tips and resources to help you make the right decision for you alone.

From what we can tell about your story it seems as though you have been going through some really hard times. As far as telling you what to do we are here to give you options to help you make the best decision for yourself. An option perhaps is to talk about it with them. While you fear that they might be angry they might have a different reaction if you were honest and perhaps let them know where you are with everything. We here at NRS can offer a conference call between you and your parents to help mediate a plan of communication so that you and your parents can be heard.

Again we want to commend you on reaching out and seeing help. If for any reason you have questions or concerns please do not hesitate to call us at (1-800-786-2929) or online through our chat option at (

    Best Wishes-NRS
Please remember you can reach us directly by calling our 24 hour hotline, 1-800-RUNAWAY (786-2929) or through our Live Chat.
