I am turning 17 in 2 days. I have been wanting to leave home for a long time now. For the past year, my parents have been telling me to leave. They want me to get out of their house, but every time I try, they threaten to call the police. I have a safe place to go, but I don't want them to get in trouble with the law.
My parents, my mom and stepdad, are emotional abusive. I have 6 other siblings that are treated normally. I am forced to pay for my own hygiene. They won't help me there even though I have no money. I lost my job about a month ago. I do have a new job, but I don't start until November. They also refused to pay for me to take the SAT test. I am graduating a year early and they refuse to pay for anything. I feel neglected. The person I would go to live with does more for me than my actual parents do. I've already made up my mind that I am going to leave, but how can I make sure that they police won't force me home? I don't want to take my siblings away from my parents. I don't want to hurt anyone. But I need to leave. How do I leave without being forced to go back home?
