  • What will happen if i leave.. Give me help???

So I never get along with my mother, and my father is a truck driver so quite often he isn't home. I come home from school everyday scared that I'm going to get yelled at for no reason. I come home crying because I know I will be getting in trouble. I can never make her happy no matter what I do. She tells me I do nothing. Bull, I do everything to make her happy. I just wanna run away and live at my friends house, if I told her where I went what could she do?. It wouldn't necessarily be runny away. I'm so stressed and I'm ugly. Someone give me tips. I cannot take this anymore, I can't even talk to my mom. I'm 15 years old and I have to buy everything for myself and I don't even have a job yet. So someone please help, thank you!💙

    Hi there,

Thank you for contacting us through our online forum. It seems as if things between you and your mom are not going well. It seems like such a frustrating situation to feel like your mom doesn’t approve of you and that you can’t make her happy.
It sounds like you are thinking about leaving home to stay with a friend. You wouldn’t be considered a runaway if you have your mother’s permission to stay with a friend. If she didn’t give you permission and you left anyway, she could contact the police and file a runaway report. This would mean that if you are picked up by the police, they would most likely take you back home.

There’s a lot of things to consider when running away. Would your friend’s parents be okay with you staying with them? You also mentioned that having to pay for things is a burden on you. Do you feel like once you leave, paying for things will be easier or harder?

Have you told anyone about what you’re going through at home? Maybe a school counselor, a teacher, a relative, or a friend’s parents could be or help and maybe eventually mediate a conversation between you and your mom about how are actions are making you feel.

You might want to consider chatting or giving us a call. We would be happy to discuss with you your situation in more detail.

    Best of luck,
    NRS
