    Re: suicide

Thanks for contacting us here at NRS. We are very sorry to hear of the problems you are having in your family, specifically with your dad. It is not fair for you to be treated the way he treats you. Even though you are having problems, it seems as if you still are concerned about your well-being because you are seeking help and that is a good thing. Even though you have attempted suicide and feel that therapy has failed, there are other options available to you. Have you ever tried to to someone about the things you are going through? Do you have a close friend or a close family member who may can be there for you? Also, what do you think about reporting your dad to CPS? Well, you can definitely contact us here again by posting us messages or you can give us a call at 1-800-RUNAWAY. We are available 24 hours and are confidential. If not, you may want to try the National Suicide Hotline since you have had suicidal thoughts before. Their number is 1-800-273-TALK. Either way, help is available to you. Good luck with things
Please remember you can reach us directly by calling our 24 hour hotline, 1-800-RUNAWAY (786-2929) or through our Live Chat.

Hi, I am in high school and I have been diagnosed bipolar, which is a type of depressions with mood swings. I know what it feels like to be at the point of suicide, the emotional pain is so great you may feel suicide is the only way out. When i feel this way i try to think about the people who truly care for me (which sometimes you may think no one cares but i guarantee at least one does) and how by killing my self i inflict all my suffering onto them. If you are able (or haven't already) tried a psychiatrist instead of just therapy it may help. I take medicine which helps me a lot, and you may be needing that. If you feel the situation with your dad is abusive or endangers you in any way, you might want to seek help like cps possibly. Abuse can hurt you not only physically, but also mentally. About yelling, try to separate yourself from these situations because this is part of what is hurting you. I know your pain although i have a different situation. Try and get through this, there ARE people who care about you,
        I hope this helps.

I wish you the best and I know how you feel, i believe you can find a way, hope you feel better.
