Running away

So I'm planning a runaway once school starts back up, but I don't know what the laws are in my state(Tennessee) like can I be arrested if the police catch me and can they force me back home, I'm 15 years old

Thanks for reaching out. It sounds like you want to run away but are uncertain of your local laws. To our knowledge, you need to be 18 to leave home without permission. If you do run away, your guardians would have the right to file a runaway report and if the police find you they will return you home. Generally, running away is not punishable by jail time.
