Re: I Need Help ASAP!
Hello!
Thanks for reaching out to us, we hope we can help you in the best possible way.
This definitely sounds like a frustrating situation for you. No one deserves to be constantly put down.
How have you been coping with what is going on at home with your mom and step-dad? It seems that staying with a friend sounds like a good idea, however if you’re still a minor your legal guardians have the right to decide where you reside, as long as it is safe. It sounds like you’ve made a great effort in communicating with your mom how you feel about your step dad. It’s great that you reached out to your teachers already, maybe you can reach out to a school counselor also. Maybe your school counseling office can refer a family counselor to help with things at home. You can also call us to discuss your situation in more detail.
You said that you want to be able to get a job that is 40 minutes away from the town you are in. It must be frustrating to not be able to have a way of getting there. Perhaps there could be a compromise that you three can agree on in terms of transportation?
We hope this response helps you, and if you have more questions, and/or would like to have someone whom to speak with, feel free to call our toll free number at 1-800-RUNAWAY (1-800-786-2929). We are here 24/7 to speak with you and help you in the best way possible.
Good Luck!

I Need Help ASAP!
I need to get out of my moms house. I hate living there, and i'm sick of my step dad. Hes constantly putting me down, and he gets upset over simple things. I cant stand living there with him anymore. I tried staying with a friend for some time, but my mom wouldn't agree with it. I live 40 minutes away from a town, where i can get a job, so i'm having issues with that. i want to get a car, and have extra spending money like most teens. I have been through so much crap with him and i'm sick of it, i cant handle it anymore. I've tried reaching out to some teachers, but they tell me to talk to my mom about it. the thing is, i do. all the time, and she even points it out at times, but he wont stop and i'm fed up with feeling worthless all the time. I cant handle him and his negativity anymore.Tags: None
