Can I run away?

I’m 13 and mentally ********ed up. Much oarents don’t care and I’ll I have left is a dog. Can I runaway from my family. Most people wouldn’t call my life abusive but I need help and don’t get any. I have a possible cracked leg bone but they don’t care. Isn’t the abuse? Leaving a painful healed bone untreated for 6+ months?

We are not legal experts, but we can tell you that because you are a minor, if you leave home and your parents file a runaway report, you could be returned home. There could also be legal consequences for whomever you stay with for what is called harboring a run away. If you want a liner to help you walk through other options like a us mediating a conference call between you and your parents, thinking through possible adults that you could turn to or could advocate for you, or things like emancipation and legal aid numbers, don't hesitate to give us a call at 1-800-RUNAWAY (786-2929). It could be considered neglect for your parents to not take you to the hospital if you are hurt. Do you have a school counselor or other adult that you trust that you can turn to right now to advocate for you?
