    Re: kicked out

    Hi there,

We’re sorry to hear your mom kicked you out. That’s definitely not acceptable and is considered neglect. You could even file an abuse report about this situation. If you’d like us to do that for you, you could call us and we could file a report on your behalf. But that’s your call: we never tell anyone what to do.

You ask if your mom could force you to return home. If she is your legal guardian she could file a runaway report on you if she wants you to return home and you refuse. It sounds like a tough situation. You definitely have options, though. The best way we can help you is if you give us a call. We can explore what options you have and help you decide for yourself what your next best step is. We also have a large database of resources of things like shelters, counselors, legal aid, etc. We hope to hear from you soon! Our number is 1-800-RUNAWAY (786-2929). Good luck!
Please remember you can reach us directly by calling our 24 hour hotline, 1-800-RUNAWAY (786-2929) or through our Live Chat.
