  • My family is the reason why I want to die so I want to move out. Help.

I am 18 years old. I live in the Philippines. I live with my aunt and my cousins since my mom left me with his boyfriend. My dad is in jail in Florida for malpractice. I grew up spoiled, they gave me everything i want so it's kinda hard to adjust to people and this new lifestyle. My aunt is always making me feel like ********. They ignore but sometimes they talk to me. I just don't know what to do anymore. I want to move out. I have depression and anxiety. I am trying to look for a job to start my life together but since im in grade 11 it's just so hard. I feel like giving up. I just want to die. I experienced a lot of horrible things while i was living with my mom. She spent all of my dad's money on drugs and on her boyfriend. Her boyfriend used to touch me while I'm sleeping. I told my mom what happened and she told me to keep it to myself. I want to go my dad's family but they're mad at me and my mom because my mom sold my dad's car and house. I'm really out of luck. I don't have a boyfriend to run to because i just don't feel lol committing myself. I have friends but I don't want to disturb them. I think the only option is to die. I really don't know what to do.

Hello, thank you for reaching out to us here at National Runaway Safeline. We understand that it takes a great deal of courage to seek help. We are very sorry to hear about the way your mother has been treating you. It sounds like you fear that if you don't move out soon you, the solution would be to die. Your life matters, despite the hard time that you are going through you are not alone. The National Runaway Safeline is located in the United States of America (USA). Our knowledge of helpful community based resources and our understanding of youth in crisis related laws is limited to the USA. If you are located in a country outside of the USA, you can use this link to find a youth helpline in or around your country: http://www.childhelplineinternationa...where-we-work/

We hope that by reaching out to a local resource, you are able to get the support you need from an organization that understands the laws and circumstances that affect youth in your country.
Please remember you can reach us directly by calling our 24 hour hotline, 1-800-RUNAWAY (786-2929) or through our Live Chat.
