  • I got kicked out

i got kicked out for disobeying my mother and I don’t know wut to do. She said she doesn’t want me at her home but I can’t stay at my boyfriends home forever. Should I try to get my own place? Or go back home even though I was told to never come back.

    Hello there,
Thanks for reaching out to the National Runaway Safeline.
We’re so sorry to hear that you’ve been kicked out of your home. We want you to know that we think you’re really brave for coming to us for help. It sounds like a really hard time for you right now. You don’t deserve to be kicked out with nowhere to go.
We’re not legal experts here, but it sounds like you might be under 18. If your legal guardians haven’t set up an adequate alternative for you, it could be considered neglect to keep you out of their home. If you would like to report what is happening to you, you have the right to call the police or Child Protective Services. To find out more about abuse reporting in general, you could visit, or call us for further assistance at 1-800-RUNAWAY (786-2929). We’d be able to conference call with your local CPS hotline if you felt uncomfortable doing that yourself.
Another thing we can help with is finding a longer term living situation for you. We have access to youth and runaway shelters across the country with services you might qualify for. If you’d like to find out more or if there is service near you, please call us directly or Live Chat with us right here on our website.
It sounds like it could be a scary time for you. We’re here to listen and we’re here to help keep you safe. Please consider contacting us directly. If you feel unsafe, you have the right to call 911.
    Stay strong,
Please remember you can reach us directly by calling our 24 hour hotline, 1-800-RUNAWAY (786-2929) or through our Live Chat.

Should I apologize to my mother and come home? Should I wait for her? Should I apologize and stay with my boyfriend? Im so confused!!

Thank you for reaching out to us here at National Runaway Safeline. We are very sorry to hear that your car got taken away. Unfortunately, we cannot tell you what to do because you know your situation better than we do. You have to decide which option would be most beneficial to you. If you need to move back in with your mother or stay with your boyfriend, there is nothing wrong with that. If you would like to discuss more about your options, please contact us directly via our 24 hour crisis hotline (1-800-786-2929) or email.
