Hi,
Thank you for contacting us. It sounds like you are in a stressful and demanding living situation. Hopefully we can provide you with some information that will be helpful for you.
You mentioning having a place to move to. You may also want to consider if this is a safe and suitable living environment for you. Making sure you have a place to sleep, food to eat, and are not in danger may be essential things to consider before moving there. If you do move there, you can be considered a runaway since you are a minor. Running away is not illegal, but is considered a status offense. This means that if you were picked up by the police, they would return you back home. You are able to live somewhere other than your home if your parents or guardians give you permission to live elsewhere. You may be able to move out if your parents let you.
If you do not decide to move out, you may consider ways to make living at home easier on you. Some people find it helpful to pick up and part time job or go to school to spend more time away from home. Others find talking to their family or using therapy helpful. If you are interested in either of these options, you can call us 1-800-RUNAWAY (786-2929) to talk more about them.
Thank you again for reaching out, we wish you the best of luck
