My parents and I do not have the best of relationships. Months ago I was diagnosed with anxiety and depression and am supposed to be on medication and going to family and one-on-one therapy every week. My parents have not done anything to further the process and my depression and anxiety have worsened do to them. I want to move out when I am 18 into the house of a friend who supports me because I can not financially support myself. I live in Colorado and as far as I can tell, I can move out when I am 18. But I'm worried when I move out I will have to leave all of my belongings (like clothes, phone, car, etc.) because they were gifts from my parents. I worried about being left with nothing and moving out in the middle of the school year. Can I legally take my belongings? Will I not be able to move out because of school?
