20 and independent but harassed by step mom and Dad

I lived with my Father and Step mother for 6 months and left but they keep calling my boyfriend, and threatning us. They have said they are going to police but I wanted to understand the logistics. I'm independent, have a full time job with high pay and own place to live. Can they do anything? (Step Mother says she has paperwork making her responsible for me) not sure I believe that...
