Hey there,
Thanks for reaching out to NRS. It sounds like you’re in need of help and we’re here to help in any way we can.
It sounds like your father and step mom are making your life very difficult and are harassing you. So sorry you’re having to go through that. We’re not legal experts, but the age of majority (when you’re considered an adult) is usually 18. You shared that you were 20 years old, which means you’re no under the custody of your father. They should not have a say in where you live. If you want to double check with your local police, you can call into our safeline and we can call out to them together. If your dad and step-mom continue to harass you, there are legal ways to protect yourself, including Orders of Protection. We can also help find you legal aid resources if you’d want to explore that option more.
We’re here to help in any way we can as you go through this difficult time. You and your boyfriend definitely don’t deserve to be harassed. Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you want to explore the options that we listed. We’re open 24/7.
Be safe, NRS

(Step Mother says she has paperwork making her responsible for me) not sure I believe that...Tags: None
