what are we supposted to say when we call you... you guys just answer... 1800runaway...... okay so then what am i suppost to say? hi? its weird....

also if i call about family and it ends up to be abuse or something do you report it if you get are information???
when i called, one lady said you don't but then i read that you do so what do you do?

Thanks for contacting us here at NRS. It seems as if you are interested in talking to someone but you want a little more information first. If, and when you do call us, you can start off just by telling us the purpose of your call and ellaborate a little further into the problem you are having. And, of course you may start off by simply saying "Hello, how are you?" You also seem to be interested in our procedure for talking with youth who haved disclosed some information about being abused. We are definitely a confidential agecncy, but we are also mandated reporters. If whoever speaks with you get identifying information from you and you reveal to us some kind of abuse, it is then that we would be legally required to report this abuse. We are available 24 hours and again are confidential. You can reach us by phone at 1-800-RUNAWAY where we would be happy to assist you.
