We are all so sorry that you’re facing what sounds like a really difficult situation. It’s totally understandable that you’d be frustrated and upset. We really appreciate that you’ve reached out to us. And it can be helpful, when you’re feeling overwhelmed, to reach out to people who can support you.
So, if you’re feeling alone, and have been thinking about suicide, you can call the Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-8255. They talk to people facing all sorts of situations and feelings, and might be able to provide support you need.
If you are thinking about running away, remember that your safety is always the most important thing. Consider if you could have someone to call if you get in to a difficult situation, or if you just need to vent. Sometimes youth who need a break from their family stay with friends or other family members. Consider if there’s someone like that who you could stay with for a while. Sometimes youth and their parents even work out an arrangement like that together.
You can also call us. We can talk through the specifics of your situation, and figure out some next steps together.
Please know that you are not alone, and that you deserve to be in a safe and supportive place.
Please remember you can reach us directly by calling our 24 hour hotline, 1-800-RUNAWAY (786-2929) or through our Live Chat.
