I'm 16 and I dont know what to do

I moved in with my dad a couple years ago after I had a big fight with my moms boyfriend, my parents split up about 7 years ago. After I moved in with my dad it was all good until last year. We have lived in his girlfriends house for about a 2 years and randomly this year we started arguing alot, I'm not doing the best in school because the only thing that keeps me cool is playing video games or hanging out with my friends. Whenever I do anything as little as being 5 minutes late to class he freaks out yells at me and grounds me off the things I like to do. He calls me useless when I forget something to yelling at me for not doing ungraded assignments. I feel like the only people that support me is my mom, whom I can't live with cause her boyfriend(stepdad). I feel like it would be best for me to move out and find my own apartment and get a job but it's hard. And I know I dont have the strength to tell my dad he's wrong because I don't want him to yell and scream at me for stating my opinion. Please help I don't know what to do

You mentioned that you wanted to move out. At 16, you're probably going to have a lot of trouble getting a job without your parents. It's illegal to sign a lease under the age of 18, so that can be a problem as well. That being said, you may want to consider other options to cope with what's going on besides running away. It's great that your mom is supportive for you. Maybe you could talk with her to find out what your best option is right now. You can call or chat with us if you need someone to talk to.
