Want to runaway
Hello,
Thanks for contacting the national runaway Safeline.
It sounds like you are going through a difficult time tonight, sorry to hear that.
You mentioned that you feel like you have put stress on your family.
Are you being too hard on yourself? What has been going on that makes you feel this way?
We can understand that there are time when things get so over whelming that you might feel removing yourself from the situation is the best option.
The one thing you might consider asking your self is will leaving home make things better or even more difficult?
It sounds like finishing school is something you want to do and that’s a good thing.
One thing NRS can provide is an open forum for you to talk about whatever is on your mind.
Just call our 24hr crisis line at 1-800-Runaway (786-2929).
Sometimes talking things out and exploring options might help to give a clearer vision as to how you might cope with a situation.
For example.
Is there anyone you can go to that will be supportive and listen to what the issues are?
Perhaps there is a school counselor or a family member even a friend you can talk things out with.
How does that sound?
You did great by taking initiative and reaching out to NRS.
NRS is here to listen and here to help. Let us know how you were hoping we might help you with your situation.
Thank you again for contacting the National Runaway Safeline.
We wish you well.
