    RE: im not sure...

    Hello,

Thank you for taking the time to get into contact with us here at The National Runaway Safeline. We are always here to listen and here to help with whatever we can. We appreciate you reaching out and from what you have told us it sounds like you’re going through a very difficult time right now at home. No one deserves to be treated like that, especially at home where you’re supposed to feel safe and comfortable. You always have the right to report any abuse to your local police department or child protective service in your state. If you don’t feel like that would be something that you could do on your own, you can always call us anytime you want and we could help you with that process. There is always someone here that can help you if you choose to go down that path. It must be very stressful on you to have to go through all this. You’re definitely brave for reaching out to someone for help during this difficult time.

You stated that this kind of abuse usually happens every day school, is there anything is particular goes out that triggers this? Maybe learning what the pattern is to when your parents start to hit you can help protect yourself. For example if you noticed anything that might seem like they might hit you, you can think of was to leave the situation and get someplace safe. Maybe like an after school program that will let you stay from the house a little longer until things might be a little more calm at home. This all depends on what you feel comfortable with.

Please remember you can always reach us directly by calling our 24 hour hotline, 1-800-RUNAWAY (786-2929) to get some help and talk about someone here about resources that we might have on hand for you. We also have our Live Chat which is open every day from 4:30p to 11:30p CST and can be accessed here: http://www.nrschat.org:88/chat/UserP...&d=&u=&bypass=
