Hi,I am not entirely sure this makes sense but it's just that recently this guy we will call him bob...he was flirting with me and he was being sexual towards me (I'm 14 btw) you could say and I didn't totally reject him I'm not going to lie I kind of liked the attention yet at the same Time he made me kind of uncomfortable.you are probably asking yourself what this has to do with anything but my mom decided to go through my phone and she read these messages she was very disappointed..that entire day before she was being extra rude to me and I couldn't understand why but when I confronted her she told me she was upset about the conversation me and *** had .she invaded my privacy and I was embarrassed and I realize now that I can't trust her with anything especially after the way she reacted and there was no way I was telling her anything anymore she would just have to read my texts again..you see my mom thinks I'm some perfect child and I'm just not I'm actually kind of bad .I've made out with people I don't know and I'm just not perfect like she thinks...she holds me to this Angel reputation that she wants me to live up to and I'm sick of pretending...I need to runaway I just have to. not anywhere permanently just to get away I guess and I just don't know where to go but all I know is I have to leave I have to get out of here I was going to do it tonight but I think I need more time to plan it out. Do you have any tips on where I should go that's temporary???

re: im not an angel
Hi
Thanks for contacting the National Runaway Safeline. It sounds like there are some trust issues between you and your mother. It seems that she went through your phone and you feel like that was an invasion of your privacy. Have you spoke to your mother about your feelings?
Determining if running away is your best option can be a difficult decision. Some youth run away because they feel that is the best solution to the situation(s) they are dealing. Aside from running away, are there any other options available? Youth shelters are often available to provide housing, counseling, and other support services. Depending upon the city and state you are located in, we can assist you with trying to locate the nearest one. If you have access to a phone, it may be easier to provide resources through our hotline.
We are available 24/7 and can be reached by dialing 1-800-RUNAWAY (786-2929). Our hotline is confidential, anonymous, and toll-free. We are always here to provide support, a listening ear, discuss options and provide resources. In addition to our hotline, you can receive live assistance via CHAT between 4:30pm and 11:30pm.
We would like to wish you the best and we hope to hear from you soon.
Take care
~NRSPlease remember you can reach us directly by calling our 24 hour hotline, 1-800-RUNAWAY (786-2929) or through our Live Chat.
