  • Run Away Questions?

I was just wondering, are there any other places that are relativity safe to sleep? And, is there a way to find other runaways in my area?

    Re: Run Away Questions?

Thanks for reaching out with your questions. It sounds like you may be thinking about running away and trying to figure out ways you can be safe. It is certainly important to think about things such as… how are you going to eat? Where will you sleep? Do you have any money or a job to provide for yourself? There are agencies out there for runaway/homeless youth. There may be outreach services, drop in centers or shelters that could be an option for you to have as a safe place and maybe connect with others who are going through a similar situation and get support.

Keep in mind that you can always contact us here at the National Runaway Safeline in order to connect to some of these resources. We would need more information such as your age and city/state you are looking for resources to provide specific options. You can reach us at our 24 hour hotline 1-800-RUNAWAY (786-2929) or through our live chat available from 4:30p to 11:30p CST. Our services are confidential and anonymous and there is always someone available to discuss safe options and even help you contact safe places in your area. Feel free to contact us anytime. Take care and be safe.
Please remember you can reach us directly by calling our 24 hour hotline, 1-800-RUNAWAY (786-2929) or through our Live Chat.
