    Run Away

    Hello,
Thanks for contacting the National Runaway Safeline.
It sounds like you are in a very serious situation and would like some information about securing yours and your sibling safety.
We can only imagine how difficult and frightful you must feel.

It’s unfortunate that your mom has chosen to put you and your siblings a situation such as this, it’s good that you are thinking about your safety. It sounds like you would like to return to your hometown and stay with your uncle. Have you had conversations with him about this arrangement?
Perhaps your uncle and your mom can come to some agreement of custody for you and your sister and brother that does not have to involve child services. You are welcome to contact the NRS 1-800-Runaway (786-2929) 24hr crisis line to discuss some possible options. We would be glad to contact Child services to inquire about any information pertaining to your situation. This could be done through conference calling and you could remain anonymous. You can call from a payphone free of charge if that is an option you are faced with. We are concerned for your safety.

Having a safety plan is something you might consider, this may consist of who you can call in an emergency or a safe place you can get to should you feel threatened or unsafe.
Does that make sense? You are very brave for reaching out it must have been a difficult decision for you to make.
We may be able to assist you with referrals for emergency shelter and safe place resources.
We hope that your mom will take your feelings into consideration and take steps to ensure you and your sibling’s safety.
We thank you again for contacting the National Runaway Safeline.
    Take Care,
    NRS
