Hello,
Thanks for reaching out to us. Sounds like you’re going through an intense time and like you’ve made the decision to leave home. We’re here to listen, here to help.
It sounds like you know about the things you might need if you ever decided to leave home: money, safe place to live, clothes, food, etc. If you don’t end up getting these things you’ve identified as needed for survival, what do you think you’ll do? Have you considered looking into youth housing programs in MI?
Depending on where you’re at in Michigan you may be able to go to an emergency youth shelter. One of the ways that we can help advocate for you is by making calls to several center to see how you can get in there. If you’re willing and able, please call us at 1800-RUNAWAY (786-2929).
We’re anonymous, confidential and available 24/7. We can explore whatever you need to be in a safe place. We’re here for you.
Best,
NRS

16, michigan, dont know where to go
im a 16 year old girl, i pretty much have my mind set on leaving, school isnt my thing, i have no money, and im positive my parents would come close to killing me if i dropped out, the way i see it, my best option is leaving home.
im in michigan and ive been looking up places to go, but im having no luck. i have very little supplies to take with me, a few pairs of clothes, a little bit of food, whatever else i can fit in a bag.
if i dont find a place to go, though i would dread it, ill end up on the street, please help.Tags: None
