My mom treats me so bad please help

I'm 15 and my parents have been divorced for 9 years my mom has been really harsh on me since I can remember. She calls me names on a daily basis (h*e, b**** prostitute etc..) she says I can't do anything right she doesn't let me say that I live my dad. She hits me constantly punches throws me on the floor and starts kicking me I have had several busted lips where she has punched me in the face. I'm a good kid I'm in early college I get straight A's and she still treats me bad. I want to leave my house and go with my aunt or my dad but she doesn't let me she says she's going to call the cops n press charges on who ever takes me. I tried being the child she wants but nothing works please somebody help me I'm desperate

You mentioned that your mom hits you and calls you names. It sounds like you need a lot of support right now. Is there anyone in your life who you trust who you are able to reach out to? Another option that you have is to make an abuse report. Now, there's no guarantee that they would place you with your aunt or dad, but it may be a step to get the support that you deserve. It can be a very scary step to get the police involved; if you give us a call, we would be able to talk through with you any questions you have about this option.

Hi. My best friend is trying to run away because her mom. She doesn't want to call anyone because she doesn't want to be in the system and she wants to stay by her friends. She's scared on what to do. Please help. She's like a sister to me.

Thank you for contacting the National Runaway Safeline! We’re glad you reached out and want to help you in any way we can.
You’re a very good friend for trying to reach out and help your friend; she’s lucky to have you. We’re so sorry to hear that your friend is unhappy at home because everyone deserves a safe and loving home. Has your friend tried reaching out to anyone at school or a trusted adult about what is going on? We know reaching out to people for help can be intimidating, but there are a lot of people out there that care about her and want her to be safe. It is definitely understandable that she does not want to be put into the system. We cannot say for certain how CPS will respond, but usually CPS looks for placement within the family before going to foster care. We could help her file a report if that is what she decides she wants to do. If not, we would be able to find your friend a shelter for the time being until she decides what she wants to do long term if her main concern is getting out of the house as soon as possible.
You also mentioned that she is thinking about running away. Again, we aren’t legal experts here, but there are some general things to keep in mind regarding running away. For example, if a minor leaves the house without permission, parents have the right to file a runaway report with the police if they want. Running away is just a status offense, meaning that she wouldn’t get in any serious legal trouble, but if she is found the police would take her back home. Additionally, anyone over 18 who she is staying with while she’s gone could get into trouble for harboring a runaway.
We would be more than happy to help your friend the best we can. i honestly can't do this anymore, everyday feels like hell. getting dragged, beat in the head, punches me on the face, getting hit with small table decorations called foul names. she took my privacy ( my door ) and the main thing that makes me happy ( my phone). she took me out of all my after-school activities out of spite. i don't wanna leave my brother and sister though, i love them too much. they are my only happiness rn . and i really don't wanna be in the system. ive also been really depressed everyday is the same. my mom is the freaking prblem. i dont understand what her objective is. i just wanna be happy

The abuse you’ve expressed here is a justifiable reason to want to leave home. You are not only being physically abused, but also isolated since your phone and outside activities have been taken away, making it even more difficult to find a way out or reach out for help.


It’s commendable of you to not want to abandon your siblings, and understandable why it would make your decision to leave home more difficult. From here, we cannot be sure of what you’ve tried already in terms of reporting the abuse.

My mom treats me like ******** on a daily basis, i have no idea why and she always blames me for everything, she praises my younger siblings and my little brother because tehy get good grades, do "EvErThInG" roght and im always wrong. i do almost everything in the house, cleaning,cooking, mopping,sweeping, dishes, laundry, yet im lazy and stupid. She keep saying im childihs and says i shouldn't push stuff onto my brother to do because only 12. I'm 16 and i had to grow up at a young age because of my mom being a druggie while i was 5-7. She calls me names, doesnt want me around, doesnt support me. (Transgender male and pansexual) She said im just childish and lazy, i dont know what to do about this, can i get some help..?
