    re: Family problems

    Hi

Thanks for contacting the National Runaway Safeline. We are sorry to hear about what is going at home. It is very unfortunate that she had to move and you are experiencing so many problems. It sounds like your mother is aware of what is going on but will not make her leave. Have your mother talked to her about her behavior? It sounds like she is creating tension among you and the rest of your family. Not being able to talk to anyone in your family, sounds like it can be lonely. Do you have any friends that you are able to talk to?

It can be difficult to determine if running away is the best option. Do you have a plan if you decided to leave your house? Making sure your safety isn’t at risk is important. We can assist you with locating a safe place if you do decide to leave. If you feel comfortable and able to use a phone, you can give us a call at 1-800-RUNAWAY (786-2929). Our hotline is toll-free, anonymous, confidential, and available 24/7. We can provide you with support, a listening ear, assist with contacting resources, and discuss possible options. In addition to our hotline, you can also receive live assistance via Chat between 4:30pm and 11:30pm CST.

We look forward to hearing from you.

    Best Wishes
    ~NRS
Please remember you can reach us directly by calling our 24 hour hotline, 1-800-RUNAWAY (786-2929) or through our Live Chat.
