    Please help I'm getting abuse!!!!

    Hello,

Thanks for contacting the National Runaway Safeline.
We are very sorry you were hit by your father. We hope that you are safe no one deserves to be hit and bruised by anyone.
You are very brave to reach out for help.
It’s good that you took initiative by taking pictures of the bruises inflicted from your father’s belt. It’s also great that you are doing some forward thinking about looking for a safe place option. Documentation can be important to show evidence of the physical abuse. We understand your fears about getting your boyfriend into any legal trouble.
It’s good of you to think about his well being given the situation you face at home.

We understand your reason for not wanting to contact the police but if you would like to file an abuse report you have the option of contacting the Administration of Child Services (17 and under) to make a child abuse report.
    Their number is listed below:
    #1-877-KIDSNYC (543-7692); #212-341-0900
Is that something you might consider?

You are welcome to contact our 24hr toll free crisis line at 1-800-Runaway (786-2929) and speak to one of our crisis liners about your situation. NRS can also assist you with filing a child abuse report by taking down the information you provide and contacting child protective services.
You can be on the line via three way conference call if you like.
    Does that make sense?

    Your safety is important.
Our national data base may help us to locate a emergency shelter (safe place) for you in your area.
Visit the NRS website for more information or use our live chat service to get more information/referral options at: www.1800Runaway.org
You can communicate with NRS by using the live chat option available on our website from 4:30pm until 11:30pm (CST) 7 days a week.
We thank you again for reaching out to the National Runaway Safeline.
    Take care and be safe.
Please remember you can reach us directly by calling our 24 hour hotline, 1-800-RUNAWAY (786-2929) or through our Live Chat.

            Hey,
It’s ok. Calling in and talking to someone is probably a very hard thing to do. We get that talking to strangers might not feel super great but you should know that we are here for you all the time (24 hours) and we’re on your side.

We are better at advocating for people when we get to ask questions back and forth. We can help you build a safe plan if you do decide to leave or we can talk about other rights and options that you might have.

If you can’t call us at 1800-RUNAWAY (remember, we’re non-judgmental), try us during out live chat hours and chat with someone online. That service can be obtained from 430p-1130p (Central Standard Time) everyday.

We hope to hear from you soon.
